Janet Breaks It Off With Hubby Jermaine D! Or Was It Her Management?
October 15th, 2008 by jackie-morales-kzonJanet has DUMPED Jermaine Dupri. Or to be exact - Janet’s management team dumped him. Here’s a snippet of the juicy details of what went down:
Jermaine Dupri is in the doghouse. Not only did he reportedly puke on Janet Jackson’s lap at his birthday party, his contributions to her career have been disappointing.
He gave Mariah Carey lots of hits but hasn’t done the same for his girlfriend Janet. He created the concept for her tour and also arranged parties for Janet after every show.
She’s been exhausted by the rigorous show and the partying is too much for her. She’s just not as young and energetic as she used to be. Janet cancelled tour dates and took a rest in Atlanta at a health spa recovery place.
Janet’s management disagrees with Jermaine (they blame him for many of her failures) and they stopped him from visiting her. Jermaine was told “You’re not her boyfriend any more.” Jermaine took off for New York and he and Janet are speaking on the phone.
Where their relationship stands, no one knows for sure.
So Is This Whats Causing All Her Cancellations On Her Tour?????
Dj Am Back To Work! Hooking Up With Jay-Z For Three Of His Tour Dates.
October 15th, 2008 by jackie-morales-kzonBack in the public spotlight less than one month since his release from an Augusta, GA burn unit, DJ AM is heading back to work.
The celebrity disc jockey, born Adam Goldstein, announced Tuesday (October 14) that he will join Jay-Z on three upcoming tour dates.
AM will kick off his duties as Jay-Z’s show DJ in Los Angeles tonight (October 15) during a special performance that will serve as the official re-opening of the Hollywood Palladium theater.
The legendary venue was closed for renovations in 2007, after 27 years as a Sunset Boulevard staple, when it was purchased by Live Nation.
The Grand re-opening event will also feature a 12-piece band backing Jay-Z and DJ AM. Speaking to People magazine, AM referred to the Jay-Z dates as “the biggest thing that’s happened in my career,” adding that he saw Jay as “the greatest rapper in the world.”
According to AM’s publicist, Jenni Weinman, he will also appear with the former Def Jam president in Houston on October 16 and on October 25 in Charlottesville, VA.
No additional dates have been released at this time.
In related news, DJ AM was the guest of honor at a special charity event in LA on Tuesday hosted by Mark Ronson, Steve Aoki, Mix Master Mike and other celebrity DJs.
Proceeds from the party will benefit the families of the four victims of the tragic plane crash that left AM and former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.
The September 19 crash in Columbia, SC took the lives of pilots Sarah Lemmon, 31 and 52-year-old James Bland, as well as Barker’s close friends Chris “Lil Chris” Baker and Charles “Che” Still, who worked with the drummer as his assistant and bodyguard respectively.
Earlier this week, Barker communicated with fans for the first time via a MySpace featured artist blog.
In addition to posting photos of himself in his Los-Angeles-area hospital bed and sharing details of his recovery, he also gave fans an insight into his personal grief.
“I would give up anything to have them here with us today, healthy and happy,” Barker said of Baker and Still. “To call them my employees does them such a disservice, as they were so much more than that. Chris was my best friend before anything else, and I can never put into words how much he will be missed. Che was an amazing person as well, and I was honored to have him in my life.”
Barker is set to undergo his seventh surgery on Monday (October 20).

October 15th, 2008 by jackie-morales-kzon50 Cent is set to share his entrepreneurial skills next month with the debut of The Money and the Power, his first MTV reality series.
The show will feature 14 aspiring moguls living together in a Brooklyn warehouse dubbed “Camp Curtis.” From there, the contestants must work together through a myriad of innovative challenges in hopes of honing their business acumen.
Each week, 50 will eliminate a contestant based on how much knowledge they retained from the previous challenge.
Viewers will also get to see the contestants interact with other music stars, as special appearances from LL Cool J, Aubry O’Day of Danity Kane, Lloyd Banks, and blogger Miss Info are highlights of the series.
50’s right hand man Tony Yayo will serve as the show’s “Underboss,” making sure the show’s contestants remain in line and focused on the tasks at hand.
Even with the television’s wide variety of reality shows, 50 is confident that his series will transcend most shows and illuminate the hard work and sacrifice required to make in it the music business.
“If it was just my image, I wouldn’t have made this much money,” 50 stated bluntly of his business acumen and taste.
The show’s winner, who according to G-Unit head must possess the best combination of “business flair, strength, ambition, and fearlessness,” will be awarded a grand prize of $100,000 and assistance from 50 to help pursue their music dreams.
The show reveals another piece of 50’s planned media blitz in preparation for his fourth studio album and DVD Before I Self-Destruct, set for release on December 9.

Janet Cancel’s Yet Another Show???? Doctor’s Order…
October 14th, 2008 by jackie-morales-kzonJanet Jackson, who had promised to hit the stage over the weekend, was again a no-show, cancelling two more performances on her Rock Witchu tour.
Jackson cancelled her Saturday night show in Uncasville, Conn., only a day after she released a statement that she would be back on the road.
She also cancelled her Monday night concert at the Turning Stone Resort in New York.
A message posted on the resort and casino’s website stated the show had been cancelled at the advice of Jackson’s doctor.
The 42-year-old singer fell ill just before a show in Montreal and has since cancelled appearances in Boston, Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Philadelphia and Greensboro, N.C.
Jackson spent about two hours in a Montreal hospital Sept. 29. She had been advised to rest until she fully recovered.
No details have been released about what’s ailing the singer.
Jackson is on her first North American tour in seven years.
Iron Man II Minus Terrance Howard
October 14th, 2008 by jackie-morales-kzonLast year actor Terrence Howard had the biggest role of his acting career - starring in the Blockbuster hit Iron Man. Well now were hearing that he LOST the role to Don Cheadle. How’d it happen, you ask. Check out what Hollywood Reporter has to say:
Marvel Studios has hired Don Cheadle to replace Terrence Howard in the upcoming Iron Man sequel. Cheadle will play Jim Rhodes, Tony Stark’s best friend and future War Machine. Director Jon Favreau has made numerous hints that War Machine may play a part in the second film.
The Hollywood Reporter’s sources claim it was a conflict due to financial differences. Earlier this year it was widely speculated that Marvel was trying to low ball Favreau with an offer not much higher than his initial payday for the first film. It is not unusual for salaries to double for a sequel, especially when the first film outperformed to the level that Iron Man had.
But from what I understand, Marvel believes the superhero characters themselves are the real stars, and many believe they are being very thrifty in their negotiations for their future projects.
Terrence, it’s a recession, bruh … Now ain’t the time to get greedy
The American Gangsta Frank Lucas…
October 10th, 2008 by jackie-morales-kzon
Infamous 1970s drug kingpin Frank Lucas will attempt to redeem himself from past sins, by enacting a 20-city U.S. tour speaking out against
violence.According to the New York Post, an anonymous insider of Lucas’ camp
revealed the tour will focus on students and emphasize the importance of education over street life.
“Frank Sr. will be talking to students about how they should get grades, not guns, and not follow in his footsteps,” the anonymous
source explained. “There will also be gun drops for illegal handguns
that he and his son are setting up.”
Frank Lucas is credited with breaking La Cosa Nostra’s (Italian Mafia) dominance of the heroin market in black communities by establishing direct contact with suppliers in Southeast Asia.
From there, Lucas’ organization would smuggle in the drugs through
rigged government coffins sent over for soldiers killed in the Vietnam War.
At his apex in the early 1970s, authorities allege Lucas’ criminal
empire generated up to $1 million dollars per day smuggling heroin.
He was convicted in 1975 and sentenced to 70 years in prison.
To reduce his sentence Lucas entered the witness protection program in 1977, and provided evidence that lead to over 100 drug related
convictions.
After years in obscurity, Lucas burst back into public consciousness
with last year’s American Gangster, the blockbuster biopic film
starring Oscar winners Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe.
In addition, mogul Jay-Z further entrenched Lucas’ exploits in Hip-Hop culture through his concept album American Gangster, which chronicled
the movie version of Lucas’ life as an unofficial soundtrack.
At press time, Lucas has not announced the locations or dates for the
non-violence tour.

October 8th, 2008 by jackie-morales-kzon( When they were all getting along and happy)
I know most of you guys were watching the debate last night and missed Making The Band season finale cliff hanger. I had a chance to watch it … and there was drama. First off, Aubrey and Aundrea were both talking smack to Diddy about cliques being formed within the group. And then the girls were complaining about rumors of Dawn going solo. And the … well, we’ll check out this summary taken from the MTV website:
When they arrive back in New York City, they head over to Bad Boy Records to meet with Diddy. Things start to heat up as Diddy talks to the girls about the future of Danity Kane.
The girls lay it out all on the table and speak about their untrustworthy relations with each other. The group comes to a crossroad with their careers, and Diddy discusses that the “reality of the situation has changed with the vision.” Danity Kane had four great years, a number one album with MTV nominations. Diddy’s proudest moment was watching them perform on tour, but he is uncertain whether or not he should invest millions into this group if they can’t work together.
During their group meeting, Aubrey gives Diddy lip and he decides to kick her out of Danity Kane.
One out….lets see if the others can keep it together! Or will D Woods be out next?
Drama, Drama, Drama!
